Katie was leaving to go home from this weekend so I tried to take her photo. She ducked. I hope she doesn't drive like this. She had borrowed her brother's truck as she doesn't want to drive her van that she just bought down to Fort Lauderdale.

Katie in Todd's Truck

The passenger side mirror started to fall off the truck on Katie's drive down. The drivers side is already missing. I patched the mirror up with some shoe goo, a plastic knife, and some black electrical tape. What had happened is the plastic fatigue cracked, and the mirror was threatining to fall off under it's own weight. I glued the mirror back on at the pivot joint. Just slobbered some glue down in there with is plastic knife. I then wrapped the whole thing up in black electrical tape so it would hold while it dried.
I don't know what kind of reputation I have with Katie's family already, but Todd said he didn't want it fixed with rope and string or something like that. So I taped a (clean) plastic knife to the front of the mirror so I could show him I fixed his truck with a plastic knife. I wrote "Katie told me to" on the knife for good measure. You can see the white knife on the front of the mirror.

Well, you can't expect much from an Isuzu.
Hey, that was my truck... and it is 11 years old... sheesh. ;-)
