Oh brother, where art thou?

Brother, my cat, just LOVES to go outside. The street on live on is pretty busy, and there is a lot of traffic in the parking lot here, so I don’t let the poor deprived feline out.

Well, he got out today, I was moving my plants into the house so I could paint, and he literally jumped right over me to get out!

It doesn’t seem that I am all that bad at cat-herding. Maybe I found my life calling?

Stuff on my shelves

With 16 inch deep shelves, I can put a lot of books on my shelves. Here I have books 3 layers deep. I have the ones I haven’t read up front, and the ones I have read in back.

With no sides on the shelving, I can do neat things like put books in sideways and be able to access them from the side.

Here is everything I put on the shelves tonight. Well, I also slid in the grey tub and firesafe on the bottom shelf. I have a lot of room left. My crockpot and electic skillet will go up top, and my dishes will go on the 2nd shelf from the bottom. I will probably rearrage stuff once or twice before I move.

Florida Renaissance Festival

I went to the Florida Renaissance Festival this sunday with a bunch of friends. It was a lot of fun. One of the gals was ambushed by a groveling poet reciting the virtues of her feet. The falconer’s falcon flew away. I got sunburned. All in all, a lot of fun.

2006 Fort Lauderdale Air and Sea Show

Today was the 2006 Fort Lauderdale Air and Sea Show. A whole lot of people, a lot of sunscreen, a few planes, and fewer cloths all headed to the beach.

A Marine LCAT Hoovercraft and Cobra Helicoptors at the 2006 Fort Lauderdale Air and Sea ShowHere the Marines where showing off. I think the action is going on about 2 miles north of where I was standing.

BikiniAll kinds of people came out to watch the show.

Private vessals lined up at the 2006 Fort Lauderdale Air and Sea ShowCheck out all of them private boats out there. They where kept 4000 feet away from the beach to allow the planes room to make some noise – They are almost a mile away!

The Blue Angels at the 2006 Fort Lauderdale Air and Sea ShowHere you can see that the Blue Angels where zooming about through town. I think I even saw them circle a gas station once, but they didn’t stop in – I am guessing gas prices where too high. Posted by Picasa
