I'd bought the app Thursday night so I could us it this weekend.
I used a $50 black Friday special RCA 7" tablet. Plugged it into my Makergear Prusa Mendal running a fairly current marlin on ramps 1.4.
It just worked.
I love it when things just work.
It took me a minute to figure out that there is a tab on the right side to toggle to the printer controls.
I loaded a gcode file I'd sliced and printed on my laptop. It worked just as well as my laptop.
cool. I'm glad that it just worked 🙂 . 50$ for a 7"tablet is a good price… this is even cheaper than buying a LCD controller for the printer.
That was my thought too. It's also a bit more capable than an LCD controller is.
Kudos to you +Mathias Dietz for making this.
There where some frowns at Midwest RepRap Fest (MRRF) about it not being open source, but I am not that much of a purist. I am happy to pay the small amount you ask for to not have to fight and fuss to make it work.
thx. In fact GCodePrintr is based on GCodeSimulator code which is available under a creative commons NC license here:

Good to know.
